There Are No Plans To Sack Kwesi Appiah - GFA

The Ghana Football Association has refuted claims in some reports that head coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah, will be sacked after the impending FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Kumasi. Speaking to Citi FM, the Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saane Daara, said that the media reports are totally unfounded. I have not seen any such reports and it comes as a surprise. The team is seriously preparing towards our game against Sudan. Nothing of that sort has been done. Meanwhile, Mr. Saane Daara has stated that the technical team of the Black Stars will be monitoring the various Black Stars players in Europe in order to pick the right men for the game against Sudan. The Black Stars are second in Group D in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on three points behind Zambia who are on six points.
