Nanton MP's Integrity Questioned

The integrity of Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Member of Parliament (MP) for Nanton, has, once again, been challenged by a colleague Parliamentarian, Frank Annor Dompreh. Mr. Annor Dompreh, MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, has described Murtala Mohammed as someone who does not speak truthfully at a time dust was yet to settle on a similar charge thrown at the Nanton MP by Ursula Owusu, MP for Ablekuman West. Murtala Mohammed is a Member of Parliament and should know how to speak truthfully not only on the Floor but anywhere he has opportunity to speak. He is hopping from one media house to another saying that I had credibility problems when I was NUGS President. I challenge him to prove this publicly or bow his head in shame. He had lied publicly without shame that we on the Minority after boycotting the Presidents State of the Nation address, went for the food and drinks. I pointed his attention to the falsehood he was feeding the public and instead of addressing the issue he decided to attack my person with falsehood. Let him, within twenty four hours prove what credibility problems I had as a student leader or bow his head in shame and learn how to speak the truth, Annor-Dompreh told DAILY GUIDE on Monday. Murtala Mohammed has often made headlines for either speaking scornfully or having a brawl with a colleague MP. In an interview with Joy FMs Elton Brobby last Friday, Murtala Mohammed alleged he had information of some bad deeds of Annor-Dompreh and threatened to expose them. He was responding to news reports in which Annor-Dompreh had called on him to behave as a man of integrity. I think that he [Annor-Dompreh] is just an apology of an MP and I think that such loose cannons within the Minority should be checked.I dont think he is more [of] an efficient and effective member of parliament than mehe should look within himselfif he wants us to go that lane, Annor-Dompreh, bring it, you will have it, an angry sounding Murtala Mohammed charged. Annor-Dompreh, on the other hand, said he stood by his earlier position that Mouammed Murtala was peddling falsehood when he said the Minority boycotted the Presidents address but not the food. He has not apologized for the lies he told about the Minority and now he is threatening to expose me. He should do that immediately or bow his head in shame. Murtala, in his days at the University was perhaps too much of a greenhorn to appreciate what I achieved as a NUGS president. Let him ask Sammy Okudzeto Ablakwa and Dr. Omani Boamah and they would educate him on what I achieved for Ghanaian students. What type of MP just opens his mouth and talk as if he is doing propaganda? Annor-Dompreh questioned.
