NDC Wants To Turn Supreme Court Into A Concert" Ground- Sammy Awuku

Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, Samuel Awuku, has cautioned the ruling National Democratic Congress not to fuse concert issues with legal matters since the Supreme Court of the land is not a place where theatre shows are performed. He also described the sudden attempt by some 327 applicants to join the NPPs petition challenging the legitimacy of President Mahama at the Supreme Court, as clear indication that the NDC knows their power would be annulled by the court. The court would have a fantastic opportunity tomorrow(Thursday) to decide whether some people want to turn the place into a theatre ground or a court of law. "If the court is to allow them join in the case, the next time, thousand more would express their desire to join in it...two thousand more would come because the NDC wants to remain on the seat, he said. He noted that the nation would be driving towards the realms of absurdity if this deliberate plot by the NDC is given the green light by our judges. He also called on the judges to award a cost to the legal firm who gave the 327 applicants the opportunity to come and abuse the court. NDC cant run away from it, I am very sure that they are behind it, he said. The move by the 327 applicants to join in the petition has been identified by the NPP, as a plot by President Mahama, the Electoral Commission (EC) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to open the floodgates for every registered voter who claims to have voted in the December 2012 presidential election, to apply for joinder. Samuel Awuku prayed the judges carefully study the machinations by the NDC to delay the court process and prevent the 327 applicants from joining the case. In the unlikely event that the court grants them the go ahead, Samuel Awuku noted that it will be equal to turning the place into a theatre grounds.
