Coach JE Sarpong: If The Ayew Brothers Refused The FAs Call Up, Lets Leave Them Alone

Ex Head Coach of Dansoman based Liberty professional, J.E. Sarpong has said that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) must respect the opinion of Marseille duo Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew if they dont want to play in Ghanas World Cup qualifiers against Sudan. Andre and Jordan Ayew have asked the Ghana Football Association to be excluded from this month's World Cup qualifier against Sudan while they muse the exact date for their reappearance to the national team. According to Coach JE Sarpong, the Ayew brothers are professional footballers and must be treated as one by the FA. I (JE Sarpong) always say they should respect the Ayew brothers and respect their opinion because they are professionals, so if they both want a break from the team why not. Their case should be put to rest . and see the outcome of our impending match against Sudan. Speaking to Peace FM on PEACE POWER SPORTS the veteran coach believes if any Black Stars player opted for his early retirement, that player must be left alone since there is abundant of talents capable to play for the Stars. If a player wants to go on an early retirement, just leave him to go, others are there willing to play. Lets leave those players if they dont want to play, and fight for other players in. The problem we are facing now is to get instant result and that brings pressure on the team, if not we will not go and call any players who will snub the team whiles other players are willing to play in the country, he said. He called on the technical team to plan ahead of the qualifiers and not to depend on some crop of players. If they (Ayew brother, Essien and KP Boateng) will return fine but the (GFA) should plan ahead and rebrand our football, we should rebrand our player and put confidence in our player that they can do it and the results will come. He told Peace FM Power Sports.
