If You Are Courageous, Swear Nana Addo In As Prez Tomorrow - Aseidu Nketia

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has dared members of the New Patriotic Party to swear in their defeated presidential candidate, if they believe the Supreme Courts denial of 327 applicants who filed to join in the NPPs petition to challenge the legitimacy of President John Dramani Mahama, meant victory for them. The Supreme Court, on Thursday, dismissed an application by 327 voters who wanted to join the petition challenging the declaration of President Mahama, as the winner of the December 2012 polls. The court said that their presence was not necessary after hearing the application. According to the 327 applicants, who were drawn from 11,196 polling stations, it comes as a surprise to them that the petitioners identified their polling stations among those centers where the alleged irregularities took place. But the NPP identified the move as a plot by President Mahama, the Electoral Commission (EC) and the NDC to open the floodgates for every registered voter who claims to have voted in the December 2012 presidential election to apply for joinder. Speaking on Peace FM evening news, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, sarcastically challenged his political opponents to embrace the courts decisions wholeheartedly when rulings dont favour them. He was optimistic that Thusdays ruling will not have any unfavorable effect on the mandate of the president and declared that the NDC would come out as victors in the final analysis.
