Mahama Ayariga Is Not Being Used As A Scapegoat

The NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for the Builsa North constituency, Hon. James Agalga, has expressed disagreement with the assertion that, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, the Information Minister is being used as a sacrificial lamb in the Jubilee Falgstaff House saga. I know Mahama Ayariga has a reputation to protect, he is not a novice in politics. This is not the first time he has found his way in Parliament and for anybody to think that somebody of Mahama Ayarigas caliber would allow himself to be used as a scapegoat, I beg to differ, he said. The newly appointed Information Minister made headlines earlier in the year when he stated that the President had no acquaintance with Andrew Solomon, a Gay Rights Activist who was a special guest at the launch of My First Coup dtat a book the President wrote whiles in office as the Vice-President. This piece of information later turned out not to be true and the Information Minister came out to apologize to Ghanaians for the misinformation. Again, the Hon. MP for Bawku Central who doubles as the Information Minister came out on the name change of the seat of government to apologize and assumed responsibility for the solecism, after the issue had taken center in national discourse following two press statements that were released by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Raymond Atuguba which first gave indications of a change of name from 'Flagstaff House' to 'Jubilee Flagstaff house'.
