The Volta Youth Alliance has assured the new Volta Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo of their support and cooperation to promote peace and development of the region. A statement issued in Accra on Monday by Mr Charles Agbesi, the Convener of the Alliance, expressed confidence that the new Minister would drive the development agenda of the region. �We are happy because the move will go a long way to reduce ethnicity and cronyism that has bedeviled the nation,� it said. The group said with the rich leadership qualities of the new Minister, they were sure he would deliver on his mandate in prosecuting the Better Ghana Agenda. �With his experience as a Member of Parliament, Minister of State at the Presidency and until the reshuffle Greater-Accra Regional Minister has equipped him to excel as Volta Regional Minister,� the statement added. It also assured the Minister of their co-operation at all times to execute the development programmes of the region.
