Akwesi Appiah Impressed With Black Star's First Training Session

Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah says he is satisfied with his teams output in their first training session ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan. Twenty players including two goalkeepers began Ghanas preparations towards the must-win game against the Nile Crocodiles in Kumasi on Sunday. And with some players arriving barely 24 hours ahead of the first training session on Tuesday, coach Appiah says he is impressed by his teams response. I am very impressed; their performance was very high, he told MTNFootball.com. I was thinking some of them may get tired looking at the tedious training that I put them through but they all came through successfully. It is a good sign. Ghana needs a win against Sudan to keep alive their hopes to clinch the sole qualification ticket from Group D. The Black Stars currently trail Zambia in the group by three points.
