Pressure Is Not In My Game - Emmanuel Frimpong

For Emmanuel Frimpong, a new football environment and a new culture do not bring with them any pressure at all. The Arsenal midfielder is feeling very much at home ahead of his first game as a Black Star. Now on loan at Fulham from the Gunners, the 21 year old arrived in Ghana on Monday. He came along with AC Milan's Sulley Muntari and Rennes defender John Boye. "I dont feel pressure. It is pressure playing for your country but Ive played for Arsenal and I play in England so pressure is not in my game," he told reporters on arrival. Team Ghana trains later on Tuesday and Frimpong, whose fitness has been questioned because he was dropped from Fulhams last game due to a groin problem, says he is good to go. "I had a chat with the coach and hopefully I should be ok to train with the team and I am looking forward to it." Frimpong was given his first Black Stars call-up last week when he was included in Kwesi Appiahs 24-man squad. Harrison Afful, expected to fly in after the team is done with its first session, will join Frimpong and 19 others already in the country. In as much Ghana's famed midfield will hard to break through, the player says he will work hard to become a staple. "I have got a good chance to play thats why the manager brought me here. We have got some great midfielders. It is going to take time for me to gel in. I am looking to get my chance and when I get my chance I will take it."
