Kwesi Appiah Will Qualify Ghana To The World Cup - Derek Boateng

Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng is very optimistic that under coach Kwesi Appiah, Ghana will qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. For sure we will qualify to the World Cup; there is no doubt about that, we will qualify. We have the players to qualify to the World Cup and we have the coach who no matter what would want to qualify to the World Cup. Kwesi Appiah instills us what we can do to qualify and we (the players) have confidence in him. We have everything and we have the fans that are always behind us. We will qualify, he said. Derek Boateng was omitted from Ghanas squad that trashed Sudan at the Baba Yara stadium last Sunday but has lauded the team for their great sportsmanship and elating the image of the team after their unsuccessful Africa Cup of Nations in South. He however called on Ghanaians and the Football Association to maintain coach Appiah since he has a good rapport with the players as well as management of the association. Kwesi Appiah is someone you can trust and believe in, if you had the opportunity to work with Kwesi Appiah, you will not have any bad intentions for him. He (Kwesi Appiah) will always let you know everything will be okay. He will let you obey the rules. He is friendly but serious minded when it comes to his job. All the players respect his decision and we believe he can take us there. We are happy he (Kwesi Appiah) is our coach, he said. The defensive midfielder for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Ukrainian Premier League says, though he was not called for the Sudan game, he is ever ready to serve the nation if re-invited into the team by the head coach. Meanwhile deputy Black Stars captain John Paintsil has advised the team to be determined and win all matches remaining to keep the World Cup hope alive. We can make it, thought this qualification is a little bit tougher compared to the previous ones but we can make it. The most important thing is we have to win all our matches so we face Zambia who is recently leading the group. We just have to take one match at a time; we dont want any draw or lose at this moment, we must win all games and beat Zambia here in Ghana as well, he said.
