Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, Minister of Youth and Sports has willed the Black Satellites to go for broke in Tuesday�s semi final of the African Youth Championship (AYC) against Mali.
The Satellites, together with the Malians have qualified for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey but the Minister wants the team to go the extra mile by reaching the final and eventually win the title.
A statement signed by Michael Frimpong, Head of Public Relations on behalf of the Minister also saw the latter congratulating the team for reaching the last four after beating hosts Algeria last Friday.
�The match against Algeria I must admit was very tough but the team worked very hard to ensure they progressed to the next stage of the competition.
�I am very confident the team will continue to fly high the flag of Ghana by beating Mali to qualify for the finals.�
He commended the technical and management teams of the Satellites for their hard work and tasked them to ensure the team was well prepared to win the semi- finals.
The winner of the Ghana-Mali clash will face either Egypt or Nigeria in Friday�s final.
