The recent suspect who was arrested a few days ago in connection to the murder of the 13-year-old in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region has confessed to the crime of murder.
According to Peace FM�s correspondent, Isaac Owusu, Akwasi Adjei Abraham, the suspect, confessed to the police that he committed the crime because the mother of the deceased owed him GH� 350.
Briefing the press in a news conference in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Augustine Gyening said the 23 year old cobbler noted that all efforts to retrieve the money from the victim's mother have proved futile hence resorting to that violence murderous act.
According to Isaac Owusu, the suspect, as he was being whisked away by policemen, told journalist present at the press conference to read Mark 13:12 and Genesis 15:15.
Meanwhile, the five other suspects who were arrested in connection with the murder have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
They will appear before the Mankranso Circuit court on Thursday.
