NDC MP: I Find It Extremely Difficult To Learn Something From Sir John

Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Juaboso in the Western Region, has stated that he finds it extremely difficult to digest and absorb anything that the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie says. Hon. Mintah Akandoh on Citi Fms Big issues on Saturday explained that as young politicians coming, we are supposed to be learning from our leaders. The older ones who probably entered politics before uI have listened to Sir John on several occasions and I find it very difficult, in fact, extremely difficult if not impossible to learn anything from what he says. I hope you were in the country when he had a bunter with Kobby Acheampong and the kind of decription Kobby Acheampong gave him. I am not going repeat that on air but I am tempted to believe that at the end of the day Ghanaians are going to say Kobby Acheampong has been vindicated, he claimed. The representative of the people of Juaboso made these observations known during a discussion of Sir Johns allegation that, President John Dramani Mahama spearheaded a failed assassination attempt on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who was the running mate of the NPP presidential candidate in the 2012 general elections. Dr. Mahamudu Buwumia was involved in a near-fatal accident on his way to Kumasi a few weeks ago. With him in the car were three others who also escaped with minor injuries. However, the real cause of the accident is yet to be investigated into but Sir John has pointed accusing fingers at the President, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the National Security for being behind the unfortunate incident. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, who is also the Western Regional Youth organizer of the NDC could not believe why no less a person as the General Secretary of the biggest opposition party and a trained lawyer could descend too low. I have asked this questions and I have not had any answers...I dont know how we changed or converted ourselves and then were able to burst or remove the tyres under the car whiles the car was in motion or am yet to hear that the driver of Bawumia is an NDC person or what? How can you say this, How? So you understand why am still struggling to make sense out of what he says? he repeated. The young legislator could not also understand what motivated the out-spoken NPP General Secretary to make the accusations he made, including his distrust for the police as he towed the car from the highways for a private forensic investigation to be carried out. Look, let Sir John understand clearly that, whether he trusts the police or not, this country is dully governed, ruled by rules and regulations. In fact we have a constitution in this country so it does not matter his opinion on the police. It doesnt matter whether he trusts the police or not, it doesnt matter as far as I am concerned, he fumed.
