No Player Should Be Blamed For Missing Penalty Kick

Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh has hailed the Black Satellites despite losing the final of the Africa Youth Championship, insisting no player should be blamed for missing the penalty kicks. The Young Pharaohs defeated heavyweights Ghana 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw on Saturday to clinch the title with a 100 percent record. All the two goals Egypt conceded in the tournament were against Ghana who were without all their key Europe-based players because their clubs refused to release them. Egypt clinched a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Ghana in the tournaments opener after being outplayed for much of the game and salvaged a 1-1 draw against the same opposition after surviving several scares in the finale. Tetteh says the entertaining final match on Saturday was dominated by the Ghanaians showing that the players gave off their best. It was a good display of football and wonderful advertisement of African football by both sides, Tetteh told reporters at the end of the match in Oran on Saturday night. My boys played well tonight and did their best but destiny called it otherwise and we have to take it as such. When a match goes to penalties anything is possible and I will not put any blame or find fault with anyone. Last time we won the match on penalties to reach the final and today we lost on penalties there is nothing to mourn or complain about, thats football. Ghana will play at the U20 World Cup in Turkey in June.
