Sellas Tetteh: I Failed To Win The AYC Trophy, But...

Ghana U-20 head coach, Sellas Tetteh has said that though he wasn�t able to lead the Satellites to the African Youth Championship (AYC) tittle in Algeria as he did in 2009, he will reschedule his promise and win the World Youth Championship trophy to be hosted in Turkey coming June. Ghana U-20 went down 5-4 to Egypt on penalties in the final in Oran, Algeria as neither team could break the 1-1 deadlock after 120 minutes of entertaining football. According to former World Champion coach, despite some difficulties in Algeria, the team managed to reach the finals with a lot of determination of wining the trophy. �We wouldn�t say that the team did not go through difficulties, we went through a lot of difficulties but we were able to manage such situations and by the special grace of God, we went through,� he said. Speaking to the media upon the team�s arrival, Sellas �Bobovic� Tetteh prognosticate his preparedness to once again win the world trophy after the unfortunate trophy-less in the just ended African Youth Championship in Algeria. �We promised the Minister to bring the cup but we couldn�t bring it, but I will again promise him that, that project has been reschedule for the World Cup and by the special Grace of God, we shall come here once again not empty handed with a silver medal, but with a World Cup trophy,� he promised. The former FIFA U-20 champions Ghana, according to Sellas Tetteh will start preparations as soon as possible to face France, USA and Spain in Group A when the tournament commence in Turkey.
