Gold Stars caused an upset with a 3-1 win over AshGold in a 1/16 th round clash of the FA Cup at the Duns Park in Bibiani. Gold Stars, a second-tier side were the dominant force throughout the encounter and cruised at the expense of the visitors, winners of the annual knockout competition in 1993. The hosts were up on 14 minutes after hard-pressed AshGold defender Felix Baffour diverted a shot into his own net.
