The Government on Monday disclosed that it has approved guidelines for the determination of market premium for its employees under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS). A statement to the Ghana News Agency, signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Information and Media Relations, explained that the guidelines cover workers with critical skills. It said in the interim, the old premiums will continue and that �these will, however, come to an end following the determination of which skills fall within the category of critical skills and the amount of the premium to be paid. �A white paper on the guidelines will soon be published� the statement said.
