Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that the assistant headmaster of Adisadel College in Cape Coast, Joseph B. Opare, has been killed in a fatal accident at Kyir Nkunta near Apam in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region.
The deceased was on Tuesday driving his Peugeot saloon car from Accra heading towards Cape Coast when it collided with two other vehicles, killing him on the spot.
The body had been deposited at the Winneba Government Hospital for autopsy.
Briefing DAILY GUIDE, the Apam District Police Commander, DSP Lumor, said the incident happened around 8:00am at Kyir Nkunta on the Accra-Cape Coast road.
DSP Lumor added that 17 people who were injured in the crash had been admitted to the Winneba Specialist Hospital and were receiving treatment.
Mr Opare was 49 years.
