There Is No Need Rejoicing Over $1.5 billion Investment In Ghana NDC Communicator

A Turkish investment association, MUSAID, is to invest $1.5 billion in Ghanas economy, but a member of the NDCs Communications team, Donkor Fuseni believes the time isnt yet ripe for the nation to rejoice since the investors havent clearly told the nation where they want to pump their resources. A high-powered delegation of the association is expected in the country by the end of this month to firm up agreements with the government regarding the investment. The Vice-Chairman of the association responsible for Foreign Trade, Mr Mutlu Bozkurt, made this known when he led a business delegation to meet the Vice-President, Mr Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, on the sidelines of the 16th Eurasia Economic Summit in Istanbul, Turkey. But in an interview with Peacefmonline, the district Coordinator for NADMO in Sekeyere Central, disclosed that he would only be glad on the very day the investors pinpoint the exact sectors they wish invest that quantum of money in. He also explained that a lot went into investors bringing in such huge amount of money into a country and it was only proper to hear from them where they want to invest first before rejoicing. I would be happy if I see that chunk of money goes into the informal sector or where jobs can be created for the teaming youth that are graduating from our numerous universitiesI belive that coming from Turkey, they should have some expertise in solar production and other renewable natural resources. If they are coming, I would be happy to know the exact area where they are going to invest their monies. I would opt for the production, manufacturing, agric and the energy sector then maybe we could graduate to the health and other sectors, he opined.
