GMA Is Behaving As If They Have a Personal Score to Settle with Govt

A member of the NDC communication team, Donkor Fuseini has said that it is as if the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has a personal score to settle with the government with the strike action it is embarking on. He stressed that the posture the GMA has taken is as if they are fighting a personal battle with the NDC government. Speaking on the strike action on Okay FM as a panelist on the Ghana Decides programme, he said that there is a political interjection in the activities of the GMA, alleging that with the way some of the doctors are talking, he smells the NPPs involvement in the action. According to him, some doctors are deliberately going on strike to promote their private hospitals, and to him that is why some doctors are not prepared to sit with the government to find a way out of their demands. He emphatically stated that the NPP is fueling the strike action because they have given false hope to the doctors that very soon Nana Addo will become President to solve the issues at hand.
