Total Petroleum Ghana Limited (TPGL), the leading oil marketing company in Ghana on Tuesday commissioned 50 brand new tankers at a colourful ceremony in Accra. The brand new oil tankers, according to officials of TPGL, would ensure the safe transportation of petroleum and allied products across the country, as well as relieve the pressure on ones that cover long distances. In an address, the Managing Director of TPGL, Gillaume Larroque, said the company�s active involvement in road safety activities over the years, has translated into providing defensive driving training to several drivers in the country. He revealed that the company with the support of its bankers -SG-SSB - invested GHS 21 million into the purchase of the new tankers. On his part, the Vice President of Total West Africa Thibault de Langlais said safety is an overriding priority for TPGL.
