Parliament has approved the proposed formula for the distribution of the 2013 District Assemblies Common Fund. The House also approved GH� 1,149,000,287 for the District Assemblies Common Fund. This forms part of the business of the House during its two day emergency sitting. Presenting the report of the Committee of the whole, the First Deputy Speaker and MP for Cape Coast North, Ebow Barton-Odro advanced arguments for government to consider increasing the present 7.5% of total government revenue that is allocated to the local authorities to resource the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies.
