Kwaw Kese Axed From VGMA Performance

After putting up a spectacular performance at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) Nominee Jams in Koforidua, News One (your authoritative entertainment paper) can confirm that the mad man Kwaw Kese has been dropped from the list of performers on the bill on the night of the VGMAs. The Chief Executive of the Mad Time Entertainment Record Label is known for his energetic and crowd moving performances and would have spiced up the 14th edition of the VGMAs. An official of Charter House, organizer of the VGMA, admitted to News One reporter Nii Ogbamey Tetteh that dropping Kwaw Kese was a last-minute sacrifice which might not go down well with his fans. Emmanuel Botchwey, as he is known in real life, got nominated in the Artiste of the Year and Best Collaboration of the Year categories of this years VGMAs. Kwaw Kese, who had earlier stated that his nominations were just on point, has refused to comment on the issue. Come May 18 at the Accra International Conference Centre, the VGMAs, which happens to be one of the biggest music events in Ghana will see performances by artistes like R2Bees, Fuse ODG, Herty Borngreat, Amandzeba, Sarkodie and Wizkid among others. However, it is still unclear if the Ghanaian dancehall giant Samini would be booked to thrill fans with his show-stopping performance on that night.
