NDC Should Hold Onto Their Plan of Re-Strategizing Themselves For Campaign - Sir John

Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, the New Patriotic Partys General Secretary, has advised functionaries of the National Democratic Congress to hold onto their plans of re-strategizing themselves for a colorful campaign since the Supreme Court would rule in favour of the NPP based on the concrete case they have presented before the court. He cautioned them to see from away that Nana Akufo-Addo would definitely be declared an ultimate winner at the end of the Supreme Court proceedings. Last Friday, a deputy communications director of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku revealed in an address to students of the University of Ghana that the party was reliably informed the NDC, had started campaigning and holding vigils following the way events have transpired at the Supreme Court. When Peacefmonline.com contacted Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie on the matter, he affirmed the story and explained that they had indeed picked up intelligence that the NDC had already started campaigning in expectation of a potential Supreme Court cessation of the results of some polling stations. However, he advised the leadership of the NDC not to burden themselves with plans for a new campaign since they would end up wasting their hard earned resources. We have it on authority that the NDC are campaigning all over the country thinking that we may have a run off. We know President Mahama is planning on embarking on a national tour with the view of saving his image which has already gone down the earth." His vice, Amissah-Arthur, has also been tasked to tour the Central and Western Regions and this deepens the notion that the NDC are scared the court might call for a run-off. But the evidence we have is so overwhelming and we believe there would be one outcome of this trial; that Akufo-Addo would be elected as President of Ghana, he said.
