SDA to spread its tentacles

The Southern Ghana Conference of Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), is to construct 40 churches in the rural areas and a senior high school (SHS) in Accra. The initiative will help the less privileged rural folks who cannot support themselves by building churches to have a good place of worship. Pastor Dr Annan-Nunoo, the newly elected President of the Conference who spoke with Ghana News Agency said the purpose of building new churches is to help spread the word of God. He said through the international collaboration with Adventist Maranatha and other corporate bodies, construction works will begin from May. Pastor Annan-Nunoo said an ultra modern SHS block would also be constructed at Doryumu in the Greater Accra Region beginning in September. He advised the youth to have the spirit of belongingness to give them the opportunity to unearth their talents for national development. Install in yourselves the spirit of volunteerism to assist in the development of the community and not only your churches to be accepted in society, he said.
