I'm Privileged To Have Been Akufo-Addo's Roommate - Afari-Gyan

Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, says he is privileged to have been roommates with the first Petitioner in the election results challenge case, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. His answer followed the persistence of Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata, Lead Counsel for the Third Respondent, the governing National Democratic Congress, to find out from Dr. Afari-Gyan if he knew Nana Akufo-Addo on a personal level. Dr. Afari-Gyan admitted that he was at Legon Hall with Nana Akufo-Addo, who was two years his junior. He also revealed that Mr. Tsikata, who was cross-examining him, was his junior at the same hall at the same University. When asked by Mr. Tsikata if he had maintained cordial relations with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over the years, Dr. Afari-Gyan answered in the affirmative and added that: Nothing unsavoury has ever happened or taken place between the two of us. He also added that he was just as much privileged to have been in the same hall and same university with Mr. Tsikata.
