Kwesi Pratt Warns Politicians: Do Not Take Pictures In Flood Areas And Pretend To Show Sympathy

The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has warned politicians who find themselves in flood areas after heavy rainfalls pretending to show sympathy by taking pictures in the flood with the victims without averting what might have caused the flood to stop. According to him, instead of the politicians helping solve the situation during off raining season, they would rather wait till places are flooded before they will attempt to take precautions. Our politicians are sometimes cynical. They will wait till it is raining season and when it floods, and then they will go in the rains to take pictures as if they love the victims. If you really love the people, you will not wait till it floods before you take pictures with victims. ..They (politicians) should rather take measures to prevent the flood then they can take pictures with the people, he said. Speaking on Accra-based Adom FM, Mr. Pratt however said this years raining season, we dont want to see any politician taking pictures in the floods, that is not important. They should help their constituencies and areas they are in so there will be no flooding when it raining. If they (Politicians) have something to do, they should do. We are tired of them.
