A Letter To The Blackstars

My boys, For the Red, Yellow, Green and Black Star Today, the entire nation will be looking up to you with the firm belief based on a proven track record that you can once again show Sudan our true colors. You have the love and support of 24 Million Ghanaians who believe in your ability to pull the spectacular when it becomes necessary. In 2006, it was through South Africa; against all odds you managed to come out successful. In 2010, it was Mali who could not stand the fury of the Brazilians of Africa. Today, we have Sudan, and I for one believe, victory, is firmly within our reach. My boys, though I am not there with you in person, I am with you in spirit and know that victory is certainly going to be ours. When we play together as a team, we can match every opponent. I know the result of the CAN 2013 has even made us better players with new perspective to the game. With the lessons learnt from our not so successful Nations Cup performance, I know Sudan is going to boil. Believe in yourselves; know that out of the 24 million Ghanaians, you are the very best 23 the manager and his technical team found. I would have loved to be there to defend the colors but unfortunately, I happened to be the 24th person when 23 people were needed. This therefore makes me your number one fan. Together with Ghanaians, we pray for you with the belief that with just a little smile from God, victory would be ours. Ghana believes in you, Ghana is behind you. Your number fan Jerry Akaminko
