We Are Not Finished With Afari Gyan Yet - Buaben Asamoah

Lawyers for petitioners in the election petition case at the Supreme Court will continue with their cross-examination of Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan. The EC Chairman has been under cross examination by the lawyers for the petitioners for the past three days making some admission of irregularities and denying others. Speaking to Citi News, a member of the petitioners legal team, Yaw Buaben Asamoah stated that Dr. Afari Gyans claim that there is nothing wrong for the officers not to have signed the pink sheets is absolutely wrong. According to him, the rules they [EC] set up have been clearly violated by themselves. He revealed that some presidential candidates were excluded from contesting in the elections because their nominations were not signed so how can Dr. Afari Gyan look at Ghanaians in the face and brazenly tell us that even though pink sheets were not signed, it does not matter because the officers were too tired to sign? He indicated that there is a turning point and we have not finished with him.
