Robber Attacks Daily Guide

The Nima police are on the heels of a gunman, who attacked Daily Guide on Sunday night leaving staff on night shift scared to the marrow. He made away with three mobile phones and cash of GHC13. One of the victims, who was attacked at gun-point, had problems with his car battery terminals while driving on the Kanda Highway and decided to drive back to the premises of the company for assistance. Upon making the last turn from the Nima Police Station road and reaching the gate of the company, he parked. He asked one of the printers for assistance, but before either of them could move back to the vehicle, a gun man, who had apparently stalked him, ordered the two victims to lie prostate on the ground. The armed assailant searched them and dispossessed them of their mobile phones and cash. After the quick operation, he ordered the driver to board the vehicle and drive him as he sat behind the driver with the firearm cocked to the victims ear as if ready to fire. As the victim moved the vehicle the robber kept one of the doors opened as if ready to jump out while he snapped orders at the poor driver regarding directions. At the junction opposite the Nima Police Station, he ordered his victim to turn towards a fitting workshop to the right towards the Swiss School. At a point, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop and the robber hopped off walking backwards with the pistol still pointed towards his prey before eventually disappearing into the night. It would appear that the lone ranger did not know that he had veered into a newspaper house when he asked for the living rooms of his captors so he could ransack them for valuables. The operation was captured by the companys CCTV camera which provided valuable information to the Nima Police to whom a report has been lodged.
