NPP MP: There Is A Bigger Problem Confronting The NationWe Must Pray

A member of the communication team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Asante Yeboah believes the recent market fires across the country cannot just be ascribed to arson as there seems to be more to it than what is alleged by the government. Richard Asante sought to find out whether government again believes the Kumasi Central Market which gutted fire early Sunday dawn was incendiarism. With this aspect of arson, you can look at the possibility and circumstances these public and private buildings gut fires and see whether you can link it to arson or not, he said. While many have alleged of arson for the unfortunate fire outbreaks, Richard Asante Yeboah is of a view that, inferior electrical cables which are used for tapping powers might be considered for the cause of the fires as well. So if it is arson, was Trassaco Valley mansion house which gut fire last Sunday also orchestrated? This is not just an ordinary home but a first class luxurious home. So will all fire outbreaks now be masterminded by someone? he quizzed. The Kumasi Central Market had its share of the arson market fires when fire gutted some parts of the market early Sunday morning. The fire, which started during dawn hours of Sunday at the second-hand clothing sellers area popularly called Foos Lane, spread to areas like 18 where cooking utensils and provisions are sold destroying items running into millions of Ghana cedis. Reacting to the incident on Accra-based Adom FM, the NPP communicator however said; I think there is a bigger problem confronting the nation. Beyond the fact that we (Ghanaians) must pray for Gods blessing upon us, we must be vigilant and seek on how to prevent this than thinking of scoring a political points.
