Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie criticized the NDC for being first to point accusing fingers at the members of the NPP when the calamity (fire) broke out. He described it as unfortunate for the NDC to claim that New Patriotic Party members would burn down shops where most of the traders vote for them (NPP) just to create hardship for the Mahama-led administration. He likened the NDC to a thief who steals from someone and turns round to accuse the same person they stole from of being a thief.
