Tarzan To NPP: And So What If They Sack me...Do They Buy Food For Me?"

The embattled member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Charles Wireko-Brobbey, who is currently on suspension for making unsavory statements about the performance of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, second petitioner and star witness in the presidential election petition before the Supreme Court, has said he will not be worried if the party hierarchy decides to disregard his membership. According to Tarzan, his sustenance does not depend on the party which he claimed he had worked with his indefatigable energy to form. And so what if they sack me...do they (NPP) buy food for me? Who can sack me? Some of them came to meet us in the party. The NPP party has never fed me. I have worked tireless to help form the party over the past years but those who founded the party says they believe in democracy, he said on Asempa FM. Nonetheless, Dr. Wereko-Brobbey accused deputy communications director of the NPP, Perry Okudzeto and other staff at the partys secretariat inability to secure adequate protection at the meeting, allowing baying and marauding youth to attempt breaking down the doors and make forcible entry into the meeting room. Meanwhile, Perry Okudzeto on another platform has debunked the accusation saying the sole purpose for the lack of protection, according to Dr. Wereko-Brobbey was to enable baying and marauding youth to attack him on Friday when he appeared before the party's disciplinary committee at the headquarters. This accusation is completely false, without basis and totally irresponsible. Party supporters do not need to be invited to visit the headquarters. Dr. Wereko-Brobbey's date with the Disciplinary Committee had ample publicity, partly from his own contribution. If ever there was such a thing as a hallucinatory testimony then this is one. Nowhere have I granted any such interview. Moreover, members of the Disciplinary Committee and also fellow staffers at the party headquarters were witnesses to the role I played in calming the nerves of the party supporters who had come there. I must stress that nobody attempted to harm his person and we made sure that there was no threat of that happening, Perry Okudzeto claimed.
