Wereko-Brobbey's Statement Should Be Treated With Contempt

A member of the Disciplinary Committee of the New Patriotic Party, Lawyer Ayikwei Otoo has said that issues raised by Dr, Charles Wereko-Brobbey should be treated with the contempt it deserves after meeting with the Disciplinary committee. "He is just wasting everybody's time and that's all. What he is saying will not wash," he added. Speaking to Hello FM's King Edward Tuesday morning, Ayikwei Otoo, a former deputy Attorney-General in the erstwhile Kufuor regime, said he is yet to present the recommendation's report to the National Executive Committee, adding that Tarzan explained himself enough to the disciplinary Committee for his alleged derogatory remarks about the party, adding that he cannot be accused until proven guilty. He added that he (Otoo) does not take a final decision on the matter, "all that I do is make recommendations which will be decided on by the national executive committee of the party and I do not fathom why Wereko-Brobbey is worried so much about whatever he has said. "If he sees the recommendation and he is not happy about it then he can say whatever he wishes to say, but so far as I am concerned what I have said about the matter merits nothing," he exclaimed. Asked about his opinion on the Waterville judgement by the Supreme Court, he was elated about former Attorney General and Citizen Vigilante Martin Amidu's perseverance to reclaim the money. "For the collection of the money, when they start the process it will be retrieved with ease and that Ghanaians should not worry about it," he concluded.
