I Spent Hours On Sunday Praying For The Three Court Invitees Sammy Awuku

The Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku has stated that he went on his knees to pray for the three invited to the Supreme Court of Ghana for making presumptuous comments. Mr. Awuku opined that as far as appearing before the Supreme Court for making comments deemed contemptuous with regards to the ongoing election petition, he is a School Prefect. The three people including the Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Ken Kuranchie are to appear before the Supreme Court judges for alleged contemptuous publications and comments. The NPP Deputy Communications Director made these comments in allusion to his appearance before the nine-member panel adjudicating on the election petition suit on Wednesday, after he was declared wanted by the court, for describing a warning it issued against deliberate misrepresentation of the events of the election trial, as selective and hypocritical. He however revealed that he spent a few hours at church on Sunday to say a word of prayer for the trio invited. It was not easy standing before the Judges so I spent three hours in church on Sunday, praying for courage for my brothers and asked God to intervene in the situation, Sammy Awuku said. Speaking on Peace FMs Kokrokoo programme, the NPP communicator who had made headlines throughout last week further called for a clear line to be drawn on cases in court in order to prevent situations like these or else it would get to time, we would all run away from radio stations because we would not want to be cited for contempt.
