Ghanaians Must Honour SC JudgesThey Were Appointed By God

Head pastor of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor John Boham, has urged Ghanaians to respect and give honour to the Supreme Court judges presiding over the election petition. According to him, it was God who initiated the system of justice and so we must respect the judges, pray and help them do the work the way they should. We should not do anything that will frustrate the work that they are doing in the interest of the whole nation. Pastor Boham was commenting on the on-going election petition which is at its peak and the recent commentaries of party communicators concerning the case. It doesnt matter how long the case will last eventually it will end and whatever the outcome, we must respect it. Lets receive the outcome of the case in good faith. Whatever will come out, for the sake of our dear country and its survival, let us accept it and see how we can forge ahead in unity, peace and prosperity. The world is watching and the outcome of this case and our response or reaction to the outcome of the case will make the world appreciate and respect our nation, he advised during a training program for the press corps of the church. He appealed to Christians to pray fervently so that God will guide the minds of the judges so that when the sentence is given, there will not be any problem at all. On the part of the judges, Pastor Boham encouraged them to keep up the work they are doing since it is a duty ordained by God. He said they should not accept any kind of offer in any form that can influence them to twist judgment. Quoting 2 Chronicles 19:5-6 (He appointed judges in the land, in each of the fortified cities of Judah. He told them, Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for mere mortals but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict), he urged them to allow the fear of God to influence their judgment adding God will give them the wisdom that they need. I want to with all respect as a pastor, tell them that they should do the work conscientiously because they are sitting on behalf of God and God is a God of justice and fairness. He has called them there so that they will ensure justice There are a lot of things that can influence their judgement but they should not yield to anything that will make them twist judgement, he added.
