Lets Protect National Peace Minister

Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, has called on Ghanaians to protect national peace and guard against tendencies that could plunge the country back into revolutionary state. He said political instability had affected the socio-economic development of the country and there was the need for Ghanaians to avoid comments that could destabilize the country. Mr Aidoo made the call at a party organised by the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) for senior citizens, as part of a programme to mark Ghana 53rd Republic Day celebration in Sunyani. He said Ghana had accepted constitutional rule and partisan politics, which play integral role in multi-party democracy, should not create division and enmity among families, ethnic and religious groups. Mr Aidoo asked Ghanaians to allow national interest override their parochial interest to preserve the prevailing peace and tranquillity. Mr Peter Kwaku Agyei, Brong-Ahafo Regional Secretary of Senior Citizens Association, appealed to the Government to ensure the passage of the National Ageing Policy so that the elderly would directly benefit from the national cake.
