Prices of vegetables; cabbages, green pepper, kontomire, okro and garden eggs, continued to be the cheapest items on the market whiles price of fruits remained unchanged. The market women told GNA that they believed that the drop in the prices of foodstuffs, vegetables, cocoyam and plantain was due to the rainy season. They said that because transportation fares remained unchanged it was likely that prices of commodities would sour again.
