Tarzan Offered Stupidities Instead Of Opinions

A former Minister of State during the Kufour administration, Nana Obiri Boahen feels the decision to impose a two year ban on Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby, is a moderate way of dealing with the stupidities the latter offered when he was given the chance to share opinions. The National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party last Friday slapped a two-year ban on Charles Wereko-Brobby for disrespecting the party through his actions. As records has it, Dr Wereko-Brobby, made disparaging remarks about the party's decision to challenge the outcome of the 2012 presidential election at the Supreme Court through several publications. He rated star witness for the petitioners, Dr. Bawumia as clueless on issues relating to elections in Ghana. This caused a major uproar in the NPPs camp leading to the suspension of Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey before finally being banned for twenty four months. But Nana Obiri Boahen insists the stupidities of Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey merits a harsher punishment than what has been bestowed on him. For me, they (National Executive Committe) have been charitable with the two year ban. If we are to measure him with what he said, then he deserves total expulsion, Nana Obiri Boahen proposed. The former minister maintains that if anyone is to be blamed for contributing to the defeat of the NPP in the 2008 elections, then it should be Dr. Wereko Brobbey. He rolled back the mess Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey caused as Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority and the monies he squandered during the celebration of Ghana at 50. According to him, those dubious acts became a message the NDC used against the NPP during the 2008 general elections. An outraged Obiri Boahen revealed that Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey has no shame and does not know the difference between offering an opinion and exhibiting stupidities.
