"I Used To Fear Dr. Afari Gyan But..."

The Director of Communications for the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Henry Haruna Asante has said that Dr. Afari Gyan is not above the law as he behaved during the IPAC meeting prior to the 2012 elections to be bigger than everybody in the world. According to him it is interesting to see how Dr. Afari Gyan is admitting to mistakes which took place in the 2012 election when he had told the world that the election was the most transparent, free and fair in the history of elections. Making his point known, he said on Okay FM that after the Electoral Commissioner had admitted that the commission can account for 905 pink sheets which were not signed, the lead counsel for the petitioners Philip Addison has come up with other pink sheets outside the 905 which were also not signed. He again said that when the court ordered Dr. Afari Gyan to call out the figures on the pink sheets, it did not tally with the votes the various Presidential candidates had; adding that the position of the figures on the pink sheets are difficult to attribute them to a particular candidate, but unfortunately the EC used the figures to declare the results. To the PNC Director of Communications, his assessment of the case has indicated that the law of the land is powerful than anybody in the country; stressing that the law, despite the respect and authority of the Supreme Court judges, the law can drag them to answer certain questions pertaining to the law. I used to fear Dr. Afari Gyan but now he is demystified because the Supreme Court has showed that nobody is above the law in this country; I used to respect and fear him but now I respect him without fear, he confessed. His believe is that whoever emerge victorious in the 2012 election petition does not matter but then this case will make the next election to be conducted in a free and fair state.
