Prez Mahama Is Not An EngineerHe Is Not The Cause Of The Erratic Power Supply NPP MP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Fanteakwa, Hon. Kwabena Amankwah Asiamah, aka Hon Guarantee has advised Ghanaians to desist from blaming President John Dramani Mahama for the recent erratic power supply. According to him, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Energy Ministry must strategize to help sustain the power system so far as the President has appointed them to work. He noted that the ECG must be solely blamed for the unpredictable power supply. They have just been unprofessional in their line of work. Its surprising that a big organization like the ECG still relies on short term credit payment. Its shocking, I dont know why. I think they (ECG) have the funds in excess but there might be some lapses somewhere. He further said despite the purchasers loyalty to pay their bills, ECG has shown their inability to serve the people well. Speaking on PEACE FM KOKROKOO MORNING SHOW, Hon Guarantee expressed worry about why Ghanaians attack the President for the poor power supply and not the people who have been given the opportunity to handle Ghanas energy sector. They (ECG) always off the lights as if there is something seriously wrong. Cold store operators are really losing a lot of money due to this dom sor dom sor (erratic power supply) because some cannot afford the big generators. What wrong has Ghanaians done to deserve this from ECG? And we only blame the government, what has the president done? Is he (Prez Mahama) an engineer? he questioned. He went on to rubbish World Bank report on Ghanas Energy Sector to increase electricity tariffs to help sustain Ghanas electricity problem.
