Its Expensive To Marry...Divorce Cases On The Ascendancy Due To NDC's Bad Governance

The former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Michael Omari Wadie has endorsed the position taken by the economic team of the NPP to give directives to resolving the poverty level in the country despite the natural resources and the increment of taxes in the country. According to the staunch member of the NPP, Ghanaians have been deceived by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the single spine which has been implemented has doubled the salaries of the public servants; adding that no civil servant can attest that salaries have been doubled. Speaking on Okay FM, he said that the press conference by the economic team was right to proffer alternatives to the NDC government because the NPP does not want to do propaganda with the bad economic pandemic in the country. He however was surprised that despite the resources, Ghana is not progressing with all the capable men and women who are there to implement them to action; reiterating that Ghanaians are swimming in poverty in the presence of abundance natural resources. He further called on the ruling NDC to listen to the advice from the NPP to make sure that there is money in the country which will cushion the living condition of the young people. He accused the ruling government of being responsible for the high level of poverty that has hit the country leading to many young man finding it difficult to marry; since there is no availability of money to pay for a loved one's hand in marriage. He estimated that young women are always in church crying and praying to God for men to ask for their hands in marriage; adding that if the country had a great financial backbone, some women would have volunteered to assist the young men to marry them. Marriages are failing simply because the poverty level in the country is too much to take care of the needs of the families; averring that the approach to governance by the Mahama-Led Administration is collapsing the country's economic stability.
