Mind Your Language - Rev Wengham

Head Pastor of Cedar Mountain Chapel, Assemblies of God, Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam has urged Ghanaians to desist from making comments that had the propensity to plunge the country into chaos. We can pray all the prayers in the world but if our politicians and Ghanaians are not responsible in their comments our prayers will be null and void because prayers dont work magic. Speaking in reaction to recent reports of the rise in calls from religious groups for prayers to be offered on behalf of the state, Rev. Wengham said: I want to discourage all those who are making all those kinds of comments to desist from that. Myself as an individual I have also had similar revelations. I remember in May, I was in South Africa for a program and I had two dreams concerning the country and when I came I told a few friends. I didnt want to go public because I thought that God has revealed to me we could deal with it at the background. he said. According to Rev Wengham, anytime we get to a very critical point in our history, there is always the force of God and the force of satan that are struggling to control the destiny so these things must be expected. He also called on pastors to condemn political party leaders who dont speak well. I know a lot of us are now afraid to speak because once you condemn this person the rest will say why is it that this other person said same but you didnt you say it but if we also keep quiet and allow that to restrain us from playing our role as watchmen I think the end results will not be the best, he stated.
