Kofi Wayo Is A DisgraceHe Must Apologise For Calling Osafo Maafo A Fool

Founder and Leader of the United Renaissance Party (URP), Charles Kofi Wayo, somewhat met his comeuppance on Thursday when he was subjected to a verbal blitzkrieg for having the temerity to describe Yaw Osafo Maafo, a former Finance Minister under ex-President Kufuors administration, as a fool. The UFP leader had earlier on Peace FM News @ Midday indicted the former Finance Minister for being the cause of the country's economic woes. According to him, Osafo Maafo lacked the moral right to pontificate on economic matters by accusing "the Mahama led administration of putting the economy in a bad shape, and ought to have been arrested and jailed for causing financial loss to the state. if there is anybody to be blamed for the crisis in the economy, Osafo Maafo and the NPP are to be blamedIf it was somewhere else, Osafo Maafo would have been arrested because he has brought scams on us, Kofi Wayo said. He further tongue-lashed Osafo Maafo describing him as a fool, though he was later made to retract that offensive description though he failed to apologise. But in a sharp riposte on the same platform, the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosomtwi, Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah, rounded on the UFP leader questioning whether he (Wayo) was properly trained during his early years in life. Even though Mr Wayo was made to retract the offensive word, the MP was still aghast that there was no unqualified apology rendered to Yaw Osafo Maafo by the maverick politician. One must be careful when voicing out certain utterances. I am really disappointed in Kofi Wayo. How can he say something like that concerning an elderly person? This is Ghana and in Ghana we are trained to have respect for our elders and even fellow human beings. If he was properly trained, he would not make such utterances. He should be careful with the kind of things he says. He is a total disgrace to himself, his family and the whole country. He should render an apology to Osafo Maafo immediately he said tersely.
