Peace Summits Creates More Fear And Tension - Clergy Men

The Concerned Clergy Men of Ghana wants the National Peace Council and similar organisation to ask Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Mahama to make further declaration and commitment if they dont believe that they (Nana and Mahama) will accept the final verdict of the Supreme Court in the on-going Election petition. Speaking to Citi FMs Eye witness news, spokesperson of the group, Rev. Benny Wood said the way Peace Council is organising peace summits and others are also calling for prayers for fear of violence stemming up after the final ruling, is an indication that we dont trust Nana Addo and President Mahama to accept the verdict. Nana Addo said he will accept the verdict, President Mahama said he will accept the verdict; which of them dont you believe? If you dont believe them, why dont you tell them we dont believe you, make further declarations instead of behaving like we are filled with evil and we are ready to pounce on each other the moment the verdict comes out he stated. According to Rev. Benny Wood, the organisation of such summits and the emergence of various prophecies is rather creating fear and tension in the country and fear is a platform for the enemy to do evil Rev Benny was speaking to the National Peace Summit held on Friday to educate Ghanaians on issues of justice and peace and how these ingredients can strengthen democratic governance in the country. It was an initiative of the National Peace Council (NPC), the Manhyia Palace, the Civic Forum Initiative (CFI) and the Institute of Democratic Governance (IDEG), on the theme, Justice, Peace and Reforms will Strengthen Ghana. The Bible says that as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. So if we are all thinking evil and we are all thinking war, war will happenJob said what I feared most has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me; so if we are not walking in hope and faith and we are pretending as if we are not capable of going through a court casethere is nothing happening in Ghana that we should be calling for prayer What we are doing is rather going to generate fear and anxiety is that what we are looking for? Why are we associating ourselves with those who are capable of creating war and not peace? In 2008 the black panther were carrying sticks in America. Did you hear anybody going for peace summit? he questioned.
