Prez Mahama's Hands Are Tied...The Corrupt Officials' Will Be Freed, Not Prosecuted - Kwamena Duncan

Central Regional Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) explicitly stated that nothing positive will come out of the rot exposat GYEEDA (Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency), in terms of prosecuting those indicted. The report which was submitted to President John Dramani Mahama by the committee set to investigate alleged mismanagement at GYEEDA, accused a few individuals and groups to have taken part in various fraudulent activities that took place. Kwamena Duncan is of the view that President Mahamas administration is so corrupt that such fraudulent acts will be forgotten and the culprits left off the hook. The very hands of the president are tied in this matter and mark my words: these individuals, companies that have been mentioned in this report, whether they will ever be brought to book, he said unequivocally. The report reveals lapses in the finance department of GYEEDA indicting three companies under AGAMS group: Craftpro, Asongtaba Cottage Industry and Exchange Programme and RLG Communications which owe the state interest-free loans to the tune of GH50 million. Zoomlion Ghana Limited is to pay an amount of GH74.2 million, while Better Ghana Management Service, a subsidiary of Zoomlion, is also to refund GH67.1 million to government, according to the report. When you look at even the snippets of the report and those indicted, you will ask yourself whether there was no authority at the highest level. The mismanagement and corruption is too much. Largely this mismanagement can be placed at the doorsteps of the 2012 December elections, Kwamena said. Kwamena Duncan who was disappointed in what 'snippets' of the report stated, questioned why AGAMs Group is always involved in every corrupt activity that emerges in the country I will place on record that those indicted: Kofi Humado, then Youth and Sports Minister, Abuga Pele who is now a member of parliament and the Chief Director, coming down to those companies that is Zoomlion with its subsidiary: Better Ghana Management Serviceswill be let off the hookAGAMs company: it is becoming messy for that company because they are involved in every corrupt activity that will arise. That they cannot be on their feet and make clean, genuine business and make their moneyIf you put all the pieces together, those indicted will all be pointing accusing fingers towards the president he told Kwami Sefa-Kayi on Peace FMs Kokrokoo.
