President Mahama has handed over the report on the operations of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) to a team led by his senior advisor, P. V. Obeng, for review.
The Flagstaff House has confirmed that the team, which started work last week, is reviewing the Committees findings, conclusions and recommendations.
They are expected to advise the President in line with the Committees recommendations and governments own stated plans to review the Program.
An inter-ministerial committee investigated the activities of the Agency after reports of alleged misappropriation of funds meant for running GYEEDA.
President Mahama promised a radical review and restructuring of GYEEDA when the report was submitted about three weeks ago.
Government in March announced in the 2013 Budget Statement, a freeze on all new modules and plans to review the operations of the GYEEDA, which was formerly the National Youth Employment Program.
