Former Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party NPP, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo has challenged the Mahama led administration to make the GYEEDA report available to the general public if government has nothing to hide from Ghanaians. According to him, he sees no reason why the report has not been released to the public after the report was officially submitted to the President. Speaking on Adom FM, he stated that government�s refusal to publish the report indicates a hiding agenda as speculated. Karbo however threatened that the NPP will on Friday, August 2 2013 publish the full GYEEDA report if government still insists to hold hostage of the report. �What I want to say is that, by Friday if government refuses to publish the report (GYEEDA) then what we (NPP) have in possession, we will publish that to the general public and will send it around and it will also be available on various websites for download. We have the report and it�s shocking,� he noted. He noted that Ghanaians have an interest in the GYEEDA report because it focuses on the future of the youth in the country, therefore GYEEDA must run efficiently since the inception of the programme by the Kufuor administration as National Youth Employment Scheme. Meanwhile, Deputy National Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, Solomon Nkansah strongly debunked Karbo�s claims that government is shielding the report from the general public, adding that people should relax for the president to study the report before making its contents known to the public. Solomon Nkansah said the president even deserves to be applauded for setting up a committee to investigate issues at GYEEDA, adding that people should not rush to know the content of the report, but rather hold on for the president to review the committee's report. Meanwhile, the president has just appointed another committee, headed by Senior Presidential Advisor, Paul Victor Obeng, to study the report and recommend the appropriate actions to the president.
