Govt Spells Out Selection Criteria For Community High Schools

Government has spelt out the criteria for the election of district to benefit from the two hundred community senior high schools to be built by government. Fifty schools will be built each year and the first fifty according to government, will commence before the year ends. A Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations, Murtala Mohammed, said the designs of the schools have been shown to the President and he has given approval. President Mahama has given directive to the Ministry of Education to go ahead with the implementation of the project. The two hundred community senior high school project, featured in the 2012 manifesto of the NDC and the 2013 budget. Murtala Mohammed was speaking at the daily media briefing at Flagstaff House in Accra. Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations, Murtala Mohammed, says all ministers have submitted their policy plan to President Mahama. The Policy plan includes projects and programmes the ministries hope to implement. The Deputy Minister said some of these projects will be discussed extensively as the Presidential retreat with all Ministers, Deputies, and other Government appointees at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre at Teshie over the weekend.
