Tsatsu Was Fundamentally Wrong To Accuse Judge Of BiasHe Should Do The Noble Thing By Apologising

Managing Editor of the Ghanaian Observer newspaper, Lawyer Egbert Faibille, has called on Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata to render an apology to the judicial service for his comments on the rulings of one of the nine Judges who heard the case. According to him, Lawyer Tsatsus comments were unfair and unwarranted and as a result, he should take the noblest action by apologizing to the bar. Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata, on TV3s current affairs programme Hot Issues, accused Justice Anin-Yeboah, a member of the panel of Judges who heard the election dispute between Nana Akufo Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and the Electoral Commission, of lacking judicial balance in his judgement. He indicated that Justice Anin-Yeboah allowed his political leanings to cloud his ruling on the case. But speaking on Peace FMs flagship programme, Kokrokoo on Friday, Lawyer Faibille, who was a member of the legal team for the petitioners in the just-ended election dispute, explained that Mr. Tsatsu was wrong fundamentally in coming to that conclusion. It is unfair, unwarranted and I sincerely think that as someone who is senior at the bar, he should do the most noble thing under the circumstances by apologizing You do not have the right to insult the Judge. You do not have the right to accuse a Judge of biasThose who profess God all the time should not be the ones to show to the outside world that, yes, in one breath, I profess that God is my helper; to God be the glory and all of that, yet you go around bearing false witness against your neighbor, just because he is a Judge? he sought to sensitize Lawyer Tsatsu on the tenets of the profession.
